Free token codes in our videos

Some Mixanalytic videos on Instagram now hide a code that gives free tokens. If you are the first to redeem it, the tokens are added to your account right away.

Redeem a token code

  • Redeem a code at mixanalytic.com/redeem. A link with ?code= fills in the code and keeps it while you sign in or create an account.
  • A code shows for about 0.4 seconds in the video. The caption tells you which second to pause on.
  • The first code gave 255 tokens, enough for three full analyses on the website at today's price of 85 tokens each.
  • A used-up code says Too late, so you know right away that someone got there first.
  • Each email address can redeem at most one code per calendar month and must be verified. Promotional tokens have no cash value, cannot be transferred and may be removed if obtained through abuse.

Mix Timeline: follow your versions and return to your report

Connect your next export to the right song, browse its saved reports, and return to the analysis you came from. Thanks for your feedback on navigation and repeated analyses.

  • Choose New mix version from a searchable list of your compatible songs. New song remains the default.
  • Open Timeline near your result score, or choose Upload next version to prepare another export.
  • Browse older or newer reports, jump to a date and pin a baseline without starting another analysis.
  • Back to your analysis opens the exact source report, even after you browse or switch song groups.
  • Repeated analyses of a byte-identical file in your account and analysis mode stay under one export. Original scores stay unchanged; score deltas appear only for comparable reports.
  • Free shows the first two distinct mix versions per song. Supporter shows all saved versions; individual reports remain separately accessible.

Faster pages worldwide, and a 95 MB upload limit

Pages now reach you through a global network instead of straight from our server in Stockholm. The upload limit moves from 100 MB to 95 MB to fit that network.

  • Pages, styles and fonts load from a node near you, which helps most on mobile far from Europe.
  • The upload limit is 95 MB per file. FLAC or a 44.1/48 kHz export keeps most mixes well under it.
  • Analysis, scores, reports and your history are unchanged.

The review prompt now takes no for an answer

The in-app review card had no close button, no keyboard exit, and no way to opt out. It now asks less, it closes, and it can be switched off permanently.

  • The card has a close button and closes on Escape, without discarding a review you already submitted mid-analysis.
  • "Don't ask again" is saved to your account, so the opt-out survives a cache clear and follows you to another browser.
  • The card opens as a single star rating and only unfolds the rest once you pick one.
  • Returning reviewers are asked again after five more analyses instead of on every upload.
  • Star targets meet the 44px minimum and empty stars now pass non-text contrast.

Analyzer reliability and result consistency improved

A customer challenged analyzer results on polished commercial mixes. We audited the relevant paths and corrected misleading warnings and confident-looking fallback values.

  • Frequency and reference comparisons now use the same scale, removing warnings caused by incompatible normalization.
  • Dynamic-range scoring now uses loudness context, so normal commercial mastering levels are not automatically penalized.
  • File format, bit depth, and channel labels now come from source metadata, while missing evidence is shown as N/A.
  • Thank you to the customer who challenged the results and shared a concrete example for our audit.

Major and minor key detection tightened

Harmonic analysis now checks major and minor key profiles instead of treating the loudest pitch class as the whole key decision.

  • The active analyzer can now return minor keys such as Am instead of only root names.
  • Top key candidates include mode, score, and confidence so close calls are easier to inspect.
  • A benchmark helper can compare known-key audio files before future tuning changes ship.
  • An optional Essentia backend path is wired for controlled testing without changing the default dependency set.

Free scan reminders with account control

Mixanalytic can now remind eligible accounts when monthly free scans are available again, while account settings include a dedicated switch to turn that reminder off.

  • Account settings now include a Free scan reminders toggle under Preferences.
  • Reminder candidates must be verified, active, inactive for the configured window, and have at least one free full scan ready.
  • Each monthly send writes an audit marker so reruns do not mail the same account twice.
  • The cron wrapper sends a post-run report to the internal hello inbox with sent and failed counts.

Waveform, spectrogram, and frequency spectrum images now open in a focused viewer for easier inspection after analysis.
